      Wonderful!

I am keeping my fingers crossed as to whether Mrs. TF will be named one of Pride's honorary Marshals this year.

        As Trouble wrote:

I want to send out a major thank-you to everyone who got involved in the voting process for this year's Grand Marshal.

As many of you have probably seen in today's B.A.R., the winner has been announced. Alas, I didn't get it. No one from SF got it. The top honor was received by Evan Low, an exciting, dynamic politician from the South Bay. He is quite deserving of the honor, to say the least (you should check out his website to see his accomplishments).

While I'm not the bride ... I am the bridesmaid. I didn't win, but I placed. So, I'll be one of two honorary grand marshals. All the same honors, minus the ride in the convertible.

So ... thanks to everyone. Thanks to the incredible support from David Diaz (whom I jokingly referred to as my campaign manager), the staff at Martuni's (who got clients to vote who didn't even know who I was!), the staff at Project Open Hand (where our Executive Director Tom Nolan actually pre-stamped envelopes for folks to vote), the staff at New Conservatory Theatre, the Cosmique Krewe of Colour (my chosen family), the box office staff at Beach Blanket Babylon (where Allen Sawyer coerced his staff to vote), the SFLG Freedom Band (who really bent over backwards to support me), the Big Gay Frat House (for pushing, pushing, pushing) ... well, damn, I'll just stop now. Thanks to everyone.
